Abaliget Cave

The Abaliget Cave is one of the best known and most popular natural sights of Mecsek Mountains. Its 466 m long main passage and three other hardly accessible side-passages have become discovered as a result of continuous explorations.

Drava Gate Visitor Centre

Located in Drávaszentes, the Drava Gate Visitor Centre introduces visitors to the natural and cultural history of the protected areas along the Drava, while providing a leisure-time experience for all ages. Duna-Drava National Park Directorate staff members await children and adults with tailor-made programmes, camps, lectures and guided tours.

White Stork Museum

People living in the village Kölked, south of Mohács, have co-existed with storks for centuries. The village, situated on the border of the Danube floodplain, has always been a safe nesting and feeding area for white storks. This is where the White Stork Museum, unique in the country, is found.

Mohács National Memorial

Opened in 1976 after archaeological excavations, the Mohács National Memorial, then called the Mohács Historic Memorial, is located at the site of the Battle of Mohács in 29 August 1526. The park area is the final resting place of 1700 soldiers.

Nagyharsány Sculpture Park

The history of the Nagyharsány Sculpture Park dates back to 1967. This is when the idea was first raised to create a sculpting art camp in what once was a quarry of Szársomlyó Hill. The following year, the artists set up a permanent summer camp in the nearby Gyimóthy Villa.

Old Drava Visitor Centre

Educating about the natural values and traditions of the Ormánság region, the Old Drava Visitor Centre awaits visitors with an interactive exhibition, indigenous farm animal display, study trails, a variety of active programmes and environmental education sessions.

Pintér-Garden Arboretum

Pinter-Garden Arboretum is located in Pécs, in the Tettye district climbing up the Mecsek hillside. It was named after retired bank officer János Pintér (1879-1933).

Tettye Lime Tuff Cave

The Tettye Lime Tuff Cave in Pécs is a unique geological formation. The cave system got created in the thick, loose-structured, about 10,000 year-old calcareous tuff. Over the centuries, the cave passages have been artificially extended by carving out additional passages inside the mountain, thus creating a small labyrinthine system. Once these underground cave formations also served as human dwellings.
